Untitled, 1995
Video-installation
Two video cameras are facing a monitor. They record the part of the
space, in which
the monitor is placed, from slightly different perspectives.
These images are mixed
by a video mixer and transmitted to the television
screen. The cameras are adjusted
in a way that on the screen, the
one image of the monitor exactly overlies the other.
When a viewer
approaches the monitor from the cameras´ direction, he can observe
on the screen, how his two images, recorded by the cameras from different
perspectives
and then transmitted to the screen, increasingly overlap
the closer he gets to the monitor,
and exactly coincide when he reaches
the screen. |
